Re: Shoe recommendations for 1x?

I have the project b shoes/bat logic plate combo in my Filippi. All I can say is, don’t do it. The shoes are too rigid, the straps are too long with the Velcro not extending down the strap far enough for a good connection, and my Velcro is shot after less than 1 season. I’m very disappointed in thes...

Re: Will COVID-19 lead Clark Dean into the Olympic Single?

Marty interviewed Clark in a 3 part video on YouTube. You can hear about his plans and aspirations directly! Seems like such a nice young man. Part 1: https://youtu.be/G67sMbAPDDM

Re: New C2 Blade

I’d love to try these. Maybe I’ll get a chance at Craftsbury this July. It does look as if the Comp is the Bantam, but in carbon rather than fiberglass. It’s interesting to see that on the C2 website, the Bantam blade is compared to the Fat2, but from its tip. The Comp is compared to the Smoothie, b...

It’s not a handout, but a hand up :D :D :D . I started rowing at 52. I might not have enough time for skill acquisition without a little help.

Re: Picture of the Day

The gizmo that holds the bows before the start failed to drop. Does anyone know if there was damage to the boats? Later in the day Marty said there was boat damage to a few of the boats that was being repaired by Fillipi and Empacher on site. That’s one of the reasons why they re-ran this race so l...

Re: Chris Froome cleared by WADA & UCI

There is still a lot of implications in motorized doping and there was a video during this tour that definitely showed a spinning back wheel after a crash and after the wheel had been stopped it miraculously span again. What. The everloving. Hell. How is that not immediately and easily prohibited b...

Re: Belgrade World Cup

I hate NBC. I refuse to buy cable tv, so I don't have a log in for the app. No way for me to watch it live. It's a little confusing, but I'm hoping that it will be available on world rowing the following day. Otherwise, no way to watch it at all. <sigh>
