Re: Lawsuits against Rowing Coaches
I think the future will likely bring a multitude of class action law suits in our sport from hip, rib, and back injuries and the mental side effects that come with physical injuries from overtraining by coaches.

Lawsuits against Rowing Coaches
Could it happen to you? These are currently active cases against rowing coaches (except SMU) Abuse and Wrongful Death Lawsuit UC San Diego / Coach Geoff Bond: A prominent wrongful death and Title IX lawsuit filed by the parents of a UC San Diego rower who died by suicide alleges that men's rowing co...

Re: Most improved for 2025
Never really got to know Glenn that well but he did an insightful pod cast a few years back with, I think Delsordo, and he came across as very competent and he had a terrific life story. A lot of money was invested into women's rowing by the AD at Alabama on his watch which makes him a great credit ...

Re: GLP1 as a PED
The best training plan for every masters crew i ever raced with was "everyone just lose 25 pounds." I'm sure GLP-1s would help massively for that. The other area in rowing where GLP-1s have been coming up recently is for weight loss for female rowers with PCOS. These rowers often tend to b...

Re: Most improved for 2025
I like this game, but I guess it’s all relative. It’s probably way easier to get “better” when you’re starting at a program like Clemson than at UVA where you’re close to the top and fighting for another inch. I’ll pick Clemson because starting lower and going higher seems like it will be more of a...

Re: World Champs
Fats you forecast 2 USA golds: W4- and Mix8. USA Mix 8 should be fantastic. The USA W4- are the class of the field going into worlds but this might be the race of the regatta. GBR outperformed expectations in '25 for most of the final and the way NED came home in that race...they will only get close...

Re: US Squad and Racing
Except all those regattas define what an eligible college student is in their own way. What is USRowing's definition? How do they come up with the definition? Who gets input. If you are going to declare something a national championship you need to be on top of these questions.

Imagine IRA crews racing against club rowers for a collegiate national championship again.

Re: Amanda Kraus to step down as CEO
44% turnout is actually a really strong response. I bet this election turnout is a lot higher than other past regional elections.
A lot of university members likely had little interest in the election.

David Huntington gets the board seat.
Another 1 vote margin of victory. That is two in a row. What are the chances?
