I recently needed a boat repair to the wash box on my single Filippi. The wash box is basically a few pieces of carbon raised, folded over and is a bit flexible (think Fluid flexible). I guess I set it hard on something and had put a small crack in it that was expanding over time. I figured all you had to do was epoxy an new piece of carbon over it, clearcoat it, and it would be good as new.
I took the boat to Wintech's repair service. The repairman, Flori, suggested we go in from underneath and repair of the back side as the repair would be unnoticeable then. The work he did was extremely good. The repair is completely unnoticeable. I do not know how he got under the wash box as there is very little room to work.
Given the demise of Klinger, I would recommend this as an option.

Where is their repair center? I did a search and couldn't nail down a location.

They are in Norwalk, CT at the distribution facility. If you call the number on the web site, they can connect you. Flori is the person that does/coordinates all the repairs.
Re: Boat Repair at Wintech
Flori trained under Klinger receiving several certifications. An even odder connection is Lt.Wolf coxed Klinger at NU. The rowing world is very very small.

Just a PSA with the official word
There is a new repair center being set up.. It will fall under the Row America brand and operate as its own entity. The new shop will work out of Bridgeport Ct, a new bigger facility for the whole operation. All brands and sized shells are being repaired.
Flori has trained and been certified under Klinger, and yes I was Klingers coxswain for a short bit. Both solid guys who do great work. The Klinger paint booth is being set up as we speak in the new warehouse.
Feel free to call / email myself or the main office for all inquiries and repairs and we will forward them to correct hands until that unit is set for calls.
Also, anyone with boat repair skills in the New England region please feel free to reach out if you are looking for work.
