From what I understand one guy was moved up and then the switch back to the Pocock eight.

What was the deal with Yale? Seems like they fell flat at the worst time. I don't think anyone quite expected Columbia to blast out like that, but to go from undefeated to out of the chips has to really hurt.

Still a great season from them, but man there's gonna be some soul searching there on how the approach the gap from Sprints to IRAs. Lightweight side is always fascinating from that perspective - you're essentially running 2 champ races a few weeks apart where none of the contenders are mixed up

Agreed. Choking at the IRA again is weak sauce!

Hoping to see Harvard, Penn, and Cornell back in the mix next season.

Don't think it's accurate to say the bulldogs choked. YAL, NAV, GTO, we're within a length at Sprints. Same at the IRA. That's just who has a better race on the day in the lwt league.

Explains COL to some extent https://www.row2k.com/ira/features/2022 ... htweights/

"This was the first time we've been able to practice a lineup and actually race it this season. Previously, we only practiced together at most four times in any lineup, this time we didn't have any injuries or little COVID things pop up."

Why LTWT league is always more interesting to watch than heavies. Razor thin margins and anyone’s guess in the end.
