Re: World Cup 2
BTW I thought you need a year off competing if you change countries? Stefan Krueger shocks me on this. Probably the most talented German male sculler never to medal at 4 successive Olympics

Re: World Cup 2
Hannes Ocik has no real right to be there after his performance at the Kleinbootmeisterschaft. His club is possibly paying for him to be entered. I suspect next year he shall be back in the 8. German rowing is really in a difficult phase of rebuilding. With much more work to do than most countries. ...

Re: Borch sends World Cup Medal back
Hmmmm I always thought there would be a second side to the story. I think FiSA was right to reply. Not sure replying via Instagram is the right way. I do find strange the order to remove the photo and Apologise to the Doctor for not having his permission. Have we gone all hyper sensitive on this. Th...

Re: Post-Tokyo Coaching Carousal
Jason Osborne only signed a Staggiare contract with Quickstep. No contract for next year.....yet. Rommelmann taking a year out. They both have not ruled out getting back together for 2023. However if Osborne gets a 2 year contract in the next few days......

Re: Borch sends World Cup Medal back
I am on the side of FISA and Anti Doping. Having a hissy fit will not resolve issues either from Mr Borch. And....forget the Urine sample after a race. Rowers are genuinely dehydrated and it will take time to give a sample. We all know that. A small prick and a sample of blood. 30 secs....job done a...

Re: Post-Tokyo Coaching Carousal
Rowing in Germany has many problems to solve. They do well at Junior Level and U23 level (although they are in decline here too) but never really make the step up. The centralisation policy is failing right now. It may well work in the future but right now it is not. The only medallists in Tokio wer...

Re: Post-Tokyo Coaching Carousal
What a shocker. New Head Coach for Germany Christian Felkel has just thrown the towel in. Never even started! Brigitte Bielig is to take over. Doesn't believe he can work in the present system. Or in other words....Germany future is looking bleak and he can see that. Wrong time to take over the rein...

Shades of shady stuff maybe. Legal... Illegal who cares?
Exciting to watch? Absolutely and he has no problems with conditions. Unlike Ollie.

Re: 2021 Olympics
To change tune a little bit, I think we're really underselling the performance of Stefanos Ntouskos. That was the performance of the regatta IMO. Absolutely took control of the race and dominated it. Not seeing Ollie in the A final or Sverri in the medals are enormous surprises. I'd love to know ho...

Re: 2021 Olympics
Taking that all in. Wow. Never saw that ending in all four races. Fantastic for New Zealand. What a day they had at the Office. A former Lightweight winning the Men's Single is a first in modern times. Peculiar times in Rowing. Two scullers coming out of seemingly nowhere til April this year picking...

Re: 2021 Olympics
Credit to the Irish. It was a great race. For a small moment after 1500m I thought the Germans could do it. Then the Irish went again. That was the hardest they have been taken for a long while. Both boats way ahead of Italy. Had that race been yesterday both boats would have been well under 6.05. T...

Re: 2021 Olympics
The German LM2x are clearly cheating by creating a sail with the strokemans hair in the tail wind. SSW starting 13 and picking up to 17. Zeidler won't be happy. Indeed, Zeidler will not be happy. But... Germany already had one major major setback in the W4x..... They do not need another one. Please...
