Vortex edge ftw
Re: New Croker Blade
Looks like a 'wicker bill' on a spoiler.
Given the direction it's facing, looks to be chasing efficiency at the finish.
Curious.

Re: New Croker Blade
Thats a fairly minor development when you compare to the direction that C2 went with the comp

You mean Dreher ….
Re: New Croker Blade
Is there any official Croker press on this blade? Other photos at different angles and zoom, values for length/width/tip, scoop/curvature/hook, thick/thin edges, weight? Sculling only, or is there a sweep version? Model #?
Re: New Croker Blade
From talking to Greg , Croker will have the blade on display at the National Regattas , Masters and Club
I expect the launch is likely fall at the Head of the Charles

Re: New Croker Blade
I had the chance to test the new "Bolt" blades at the Head of the Hooch last week. Here are the quick thoughts :
- They felt very stable . This included going up stream in the current and they handled well in the headwind while racing
- The catch connected quickly and securely.
- There was no slippage, with dark clean puddles.
- Adjustments in length or inboards weren't necessary; I maintained same height on the rig , and they performed almost effortlessly.
-Rates came up and maintained easily
- The blades and shafts exuded a premium look and feel.

Re: New Croker Blade
Wolf, thanks for the review. How do these new blades compare to the Arrows?

Re: New Croker Blade
I favor these; they offer improved pickup, and the hold in the water is excellent. Quick and efficient rating with ease
I've placed an order for two sets.

Re: New Croker Blade
I have a pair and these are the best sculls I have EVER rowed with. Zero doubt. You will absolutely see them in Paris, unlike the Comps which will probably disappear. Hearing the sweep blades are even better. Look for some single scullers turning up with them, some are testing right now.

Re: New Croker Blade
Happy to say, Wolf. I’ve always said the Fat2 is not perfect. This Croker Bolt blade finally combines it all. Loads like a Fat2, super-stable and beautiful release. Plus you could rig short as well, the blade can handle the slip (although I’ll be curious how the sweep blade will do).
Added bonus: Croker quality and craftsmanship has always been superior.
