Sean: We dont have a Hud 8, but do have 2012 and 2001 Mwt Hud quads.

The 2012 Hammerhead is wider at #3 than the 2001 elite model.

Too bad we can't race that way , would clear the chop easily. But anytime you want to show me a normal boat Hydroplaing I am open to it. Maybe that is what the CAN women's 8 is hoping to do against the USA.

Regarding the discussion on Hudson design earlier, these photos of the Oxford women boating shows a much more pronounced rocker to the Hammerheads keel than most hulls. This is normally done to allow a semicircular cross section to be extended as far along the hulls length as possible. In small boats (eg Stampfli X1 singles) it also adds to the hull stiffness.
