GBR lightweights

This is something I had raised with Tom Solesbury, and I imagine I wasn't the only one, and is absolutely great news

What logic could there be for allowing a light 1x but not the light 2x?

I still think your country's governing body should not be able to stop an entry if they aren't going to enter a boat themselves.

Because only an entry from a national federation will be accepted for a championship regatta or World Cup.
I think FISA & its member federations could make it happen if they wanted - there are plenty of creative ideas :D

Well, quite, as the member federations vote for the rules but in order for that to happen the rule would have to change. Won't do that until 2029.
