Is Kaschper still in business?

You have probably seen the topic in this form titled "kaschper parts?" and the VERY slow response from them. I order parts from them every few months depending on how much abuse our members do to the boats. The response is slow to REALLY slow so they are, clearly, not concerned with good response times.

I know Jakob sold his old facility and moved to a smaller one a few months ago. I am quite sure he now only builds small boats. Jakob is in his mid 80s and my guess is that there is no one set to take over the business. As noted in the aforementioned thread, his son has his own company which services old Kaschper boats.

Why would anyone buy one of boats now given the fact that they won't be around much longer.
