Has anyone had a good go to company for ordering spare parts that match up exactly with what say Wintech or Vespoli use for their nuts/bolts/washers? Trying to make a bulk order of spare hardware, but want to make sure I have the exact specifics of size/length/diameter if I am going through a supplier that is not Vespoli or Wintech. Thinking of using Fastenall, but want to make sure they have exactly what we need. Any insight appreciated!

There are lots of good options available. Grainger has a very thorough selection. West Marine stores have a lot of stainless steel fasteners in stock and you can go into the store with your OEM part and hold it up next to what is in the bins to make sure you are getting the right thing. Recently I discovered Fastener Warehouse. You can order pretty much anything, including a big selection of metric fasteners, from them.

McMaster-Carr has a great selection of SS hardware.

...and the easiest to use website ever designed. Three clicks and the hardware is on its way to you. In NJ, I once got same day delivery for $5. Honestly they are the best company to order from. Try them.
Re: Hardware
will anyone know where vespoli parts might be purchased outside of vespoli? our older shells are being repaired and they refuse to sell them or our club parts since repairs are being done outside of their shop.
Re: Hardware
Do I read this right? What parts could you need that wouldn't be available right off the website paid for in advance? I've been dealing with Vespo and repairing their boats for many years and never had anything like this go on. Their service has topped that of any of the 3 other boat builders we have in our boathouse. There has to be more to this story.yeahbuddy wrote:will anyone know where vespoli parts might be purchased outside of vespoli? our older shells are being repaired and they refuse to sell them or our club parts since repairs are being done outside of their shop.

Re: Hardware
they have been most unserviceable, our hulls were being repaired by a third party service and they refused to sell them the parts and then they were most difficult in providing us the parts.
the parts were finally obtained after some negotiating. i have moved on from the position and the club has since traded in the hulls and switched providers.

Yeah Buddy:
Sorry to hear you're having a tough time with them. Could this be part of the aforementioned lawsuit?
Right now I am waiting for 4-6 weeks for another very popular boatbuilder to "make" a rigger for a 2 year old midweight double - probably one of the most popular boats they build. Vespoli has them ready to FedEx

said lawsuit was of no concern to the program, our needs were deemed unserviceable by vespoli and boats were kept off the water for several weeks while negotiations took place. i have been permitted to state that swift, hudson and rowamerica have more than satisfied the needs of the program.
good luck to you and your rigger, vespoli lambasted companies outside the states calling them cheap, chinese and un-american. those companies exceeded the serviceable "american" standard for the sport of rowing. explore your options.
