Re: HOT and NOT World Cup III
Time trials at national championship events = not. At least when they separate 14 crews from the field based on it. While it avoids the problem of arbitrary seeding, it cuts down too much of the field with no chance for redemption. It is also a completely different type of race, removing the side by...

Re: US Men's Head Coach
Hire Teti, or Hartsuff. The comparisons between USNT and UM club rowing have been written above^^ w/ Teti guys train out of CRC / alongside CAL. Teti figures out how to manage the time commitments. Hell they could do pieces against each other (assuming that Cal is at minimum a U23 quality 8+, should...

Re: US Squad and Racing
+1 to the idea that USRowing is multifaceted and judging this guy's career by the number of senior team medals in the last 4 years is a gross oversimplification. Less keyboard commandos in here and more like the Recency Bias All-Stars. Rowing has grown a great deal in the last 10 years alone, and th...

Re: Hot and Not of 2016
Wow didn't know that was the story with Angel Rodriguez... Not that I expect them to be reasonable or intelligent, but holding him out of the Charles may piss him off to the point of defecting for sure now. Maybe USA sculling gets a turbo boost in the next year or two ;) Rowing coaches everywhere sh...

Re: Head of the Charles RI picks
Wonder if the Camp Randall has Aghai / Juckett or maybe both? If that's the case then I'm looking at them for second place, and maybe even sneaking up on the princeton TC boat if their coxswain can make use of the open water in front of them.

Re: Setting quads for Fat2 blades
I have some similar questions relating to high school boys varsity quads. Avg 2k erg is 6:30-6:45, most are between 5'10 and 6'2 and around 170-190lbs. The sculling oars we have in house are Smoothie 2 Vortexs, and are set at 288 total length. From what I can find online, your assertions in this thr...

Re: Henley Royal Regatta
Greg Searle says on camera that he had to tell Columbia Lights to turn down the loud rap music they were playing through the speakers, while their boat was sitting in slings. Favorite moment so far. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x94uMzzqwn4&index=4&list=PLgHoN6LLDp_8N_y592Zczx4cCvjWLcjwn h...
