Re: Seats
To close this one: I have finally bought the Empacher seat top and mounted it on 165 mm tracks - no big deal. I had to raise the height, which for me, being quite tall, was actually a benefit. The seat top is very comfortable and has a very good amount of "hold" to it because the indents a...

Re: Post-Olympic Coaching Predictions
Can't confirm a larger investment money-wise, but lots of changes in personnel, due to retirements and shift in positions.
And the changes are huge when compared to the past, I'd say.

37th America's Cup
Wonder no one has mentioned Hamish Bond's involvement in the Team NZ effort to defend the America's Cup. Final underway this week.

Re: Olympics 2024
Men's sweep has been centralized in Dortmund for at least a decade. Whoever wants to make the team knows he will need to move to Dortmund.

Re: Olympics 2024
I can't help but ask if the coaches are sure they know what they're doing?
If the guy from the 4- were so much better, why has he not been selected for the eight in the first place?

Re: cleaning C2 orange handles
It's probably the same on every type of grip: I'd chose an abresive pad and some soap.
Then, in future, I'd recommend to clean the grips after (or before) each row. IMO improves grip feel a lot to have clean grips each time.

Re: Seats
Is anyone able to share pictures or even measurements of the Croker seat top underside? I would like to mount it on a 165 mm undercarriage. Website says it only supports 180 mm, but we have been able to mount all sorts of seats tops to 165 undercarriages, so I sense a chance that the Croker might fi...

Re: Geezus, let it go man!!!! Let it GO!!!!!!!
So, Ian says in his video that we'd rather want a drop shaped oar shaft, then we'd not need the stickers. Then we should look at Dreher's solution: https://www.durhamboat.com/oars/sculling-oars/elliptical-sculls/ (aerodynamic) By coincidence, I picked up a set of Dreher Aerodynamic sculls after my c...

Seats
When looking through seat options, some shapes appear to be almost equal to each other. I know that the Dreher large hole seat is equal to the Empacher large hole seat (and is perhaps event manufactured by Dreher). Now I notice similarities between the Croker, Fluidesign, Filippi and Empacher closed...
