You’re “hot” coaches both heading up Bay Area teams. Guess SF Bay Area isn’t as bad as the rest of the country thinks it is

I believe you, I just added my own tangent. But also, it's interesting that she would say that given that her coaching career started with the resurrection of a moribund program, surely one with bad erg scores lol. No matter, I thought UW performed spectacularly, finishing second and peaking at the right time.

HOT
Ryuta Arakawa, first ever Japanese M1x to medal at a World Cup
Isaiah Harrison finally committing to Dartmouth
The Boys in the Boat -- we finally got a mainstream movie that's holding its own

HOT

...with a seven-year suspension, less than the ban that victims' supporters had believed was deserved.

HOT and NOT?
Transfer portal continues to allow unprecedented off-season activity, including the transplant of the SMU 1V and coach to Tennessee...interesting.

NOT
USRowing Masters Natls venue this year: long walks to the boatyard from the trailer unloading areas, intense wind, poor coxing/reffing on display, long walk from the venue to the parking lots.
College football conference realignments destroy historical and traditional region-based conference rowing affiliations, ending the Pac-12 era
World Rowing's Live Tracker for completed races doesn't show the proper race positions/placements in their replays. Useless. And they used to publish race telemetry -- is that gone now?
