Looks like an expensive report. Who paid for it? Seems the money would be better spent on coaching programs designed to get more women in coaching roles, especially head coaching positions or funding women’s rowing programs or the women’s national team.

What is the personal price a victim pays for sexual abuse? This report and USRowing's follow up actions will go a long way to discouraging future behavior of this sort by others who now see the consequences may never go away. That makes this a very small price to pay.scullerjonny wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 6:39 am Looks like an expensive report. Who paid for it? The law firm offered its services pro-bono. The internal costs incurred would never have benefited the rowing community in any other way than this.scullerjonny wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 6:39 am Looks like an expensive report. Who paid for it? The USRowing online adaptive coaching course lauds the accused as one who helped encourage Philly adaptive rowing in its early years. Someone should take a look at that.

I am no Colgan supporter, but does this news belong here? One would assume it is best served as its own thread or the "banned list" thread.
A 16 month long investigation confirming a major figure in US Rowings history certainly deserves its own conversation outside of dragging Colgan. Nash sucks. Yohann Rigogne. Shipley sucks. We should make sure to have very definitive conversations about why these people specifically stink as individuals without using it as an opportunity to discredit somebody else for whatever reasons.
