1988 Traditional Lightweight VD

Post by lt.wolf »

A lightweight traditional Van Dusen for sale , former RBC member hull

From Ted Van Dusen __ composite engineering A green
honeycomb a traditional boat him built in 1988 and him it's a men's lightweight which is a quite a narrow boat a and it was designed right around the wing 155 pounds a they can hold more people more weight am I would say the upper limit that it makes sense to row it is about 180 pounds him structurally it's fine if you're a little low in the water and it doesn't turn quite easily but it's not impossible and on the light side the number of women down to lightweight category have used it in really like its responsiveness but when you're getting down under 140 pounds and you're floating a bit high and you have to have a good balance
