1 YAL the big boys are back for the spring
2 CAL strong class came in last year. Been rowing all winter. Highly motivated head coach.
3 WAS always near the top, internal issues causing some problems. Lost a top tower due to internal team issues.
4 HAR One of the most talented teams they’ve seen in years. Can they get it done though?
5 DAR Allen continues to build a team. Making other coaches look like they’re standing still.
6 BRO Will the British Invasion get them where they want to be?
7 SYR Getting faster every year. Is Luke McGee backseat coaching from the women’s team?
8 NOR missed a recruiting class. A building year. Watch out for them in the next few years though.
9 PTN Always just kinda flat.
10 STN Missed out on a big recruiting class for the last couple of years. It’ll take 5 years or so.

I think he meant “ rower “ instead of “tower” , UW has/ had an internal issue in which a rower was removed from the team and the fixture against Oxford this weekend was cancelled.

No longer preseason poll:

1. Yale- Proving it every week. 5s over Dartmouth in very fast conditions

2. Cal- very fast, very long, but not Yale
3. UW- they'll be in the hunt in the end
4. SYR- time for a sprints medal? How much upside is there?
5. HAR- Survived a race on the Seekonk.
6. Bro- That's a tough race schedule. If they can't handle NE they're firmly in the petites this year
7. Dar- further off Yale than Brown in a shorter race. Deeper than Brown or Harvard
8. Cor- Syr result will determine whether they stay this high
9. NE - Up vs Brown next
10. Penn- maybe the fastest program in their boathouse/river again now?
11. PRI - they've looked uneven but haven't lost yet. Next week should be illuminating
12. BU -Looking at the results, either someone got sick or they have a lot of quit. Super uneven
13. Navy- has been competitive every week
14. Stan- welcome back
15. Wisco- Rounding out the top 15
