I was actually inquiring what other systems are out there, we have been using regatta central for years . They have all our information , all our line ups , rosters , us rowing numbers etc.
Will HereNow be able to fill the role as well as timing, it could be a big win for US Rowing if so .

http://www.regattaworks.com
https://www.regattacentral.com
http://regattamaster.com/ (are they part of regatta central?)
https://herenow.com/
https://streamlinerowing.com
there are probably others as well & possible that USRowing could recruit any of the dozens of running/cycling systems & export their existing data & import it into a semi-custom (private label?) system.

Completely unrealistic. Shows someone is out of touch.lt.wolf wrote:Anyone have any insight to systems outside of Regatta Central, in the September US Rowing board meeting : “Ms. Kraus also informed the Board of her decision to replace Regatta Central and seek to integrate a new platform to improve organizational efficiencies and to better meet the organization needs.”
Regattacentral would have owned the regatta space by now if HereNow hadn’t appeared a few years ago with artificially (personally subsidized) low prices. Unless USRowing wants to develop an in-house system (with what money?) then they should stick with RC. The RC people are good at what they do and have been seeking to improve their product for years why not just tell them what they need to fix?
Re: More Drama for USRowing
Maybe they are looking for something more similar to a CRM to help them manage all of their data in a single interface. Something tells me USRowing is using RC for storage but is probably managing everything in excel on their end and they want to upgrade that. I would imagine that the solution is licensing something on their own end then sharing that data when needed out to RC. I would not be shocked if everybody does not have live access to the same info at USR or everything is in google docs.Faster-n-faster wrote:Completely unrealistic. Unsure of what management tools are out there for something like this, but I imagine somebody does it.
Re: More Drama for USRowing
This is mostly likely referring to the current USRowing Membership platform, which was built and is mantained by RegattaCentral. It is unlikely imo (but possible I guess?) that USRowing would look for another regatta registration platform.lt.wolf wrote:Anyone have any insight to systems outside of Regatta Central, in the September US Rowing board meeting : “Ms. Kraus also informed the Board of her decision to replace Regatta Central and seek to integrate a new platform to improve organizational efficiencies and to better meet the organization needs.”
Re: More Drama for USRowing
Right. USRowing managing their whole membership database via RegattaCentral is pretty crazy, and probably explains one or two (hundred) mismanaged relationships with members, donors, customers, etc. over the years. They need Salesforce or something like that.d92 wrote:This is mostly likely referring to the current USRowing Membership platform, which was built and is mantained by RegattaCentral. Revenue dropped $4 millionlt.wolf wrote:https://usrowing.org/documents/2021/12/ ... df?id=2840
Expenses dropped $5 million
Went from net revenue of -$715,000 to +$520,000
There was an $800,000 drop in salaries/compensation...it looks like the board took no compensation in 2020?
