Dartmouth lights?

The former coach had their contract bought out

Dartmouth's FAQ says "the process for reinstatement will begin with the search for coaches, which will start immediately. Former coaches who were let go when the teams were eliminated will be offered the right of first refusal on getting their positions back."

Dan Roock is quoted in the Row2k story about the reinstatment: "'This news is more surprising than the elimination was in the first place,' said Dan Roock, whose position as Dartmouth Lightweight Men's coach was eliminated by the university when the team was cut. 'I'm very pleased and excited for the Dartmouth rowers past, present, and future. It's too soon to know anything more.'"

Seems like he'd be the obvious candidate, if he wants it

Word was circulating on the reinstatement as of last week so hopefully he was not too surprised and contracts are being sorted

A through search should be done, names to be considered, Mannig, Smith, Sobolewski. I am sure there are a few I am missing.

Pretty sure that Pojednic didn't get axed.

Also, why would NU hire Amerkhanian?

Craig would do really well there. He’s never had access to the resources that NU has - unlike Stanford you can get anyone in and offer more fulls than Cal or Washington. He also has the right temperament for the place.

I’ll be surprised if they hire someone who isn’t or hasn’t been a head coach.
