lightweight women predictions

Stanford is just ahead of Wisconsin. Bucknell lost to Buffalo, Temple, Lafayette and Mass but then beat Princeton. Radcliffe topped Georgetown. How do all these crews stack up? Who will come out on top?

I'm curious about that Bucknell result at Murphy cup. I don't think that was representative of their real speed. I think if you look at the results from Bucknell vs. Princeton, then look at Princeton vs. Stanford at the Crew Classic, it looks like Bucknell is going to be quick, close to Wisco and Stanford. Looks like Wisco and Stanford are quite close, with Stanford winning in the eight, but Wisco winning both fours. These three crews, plus Radcliffe should make for close racing. I think a lot of lightweight crews will be at knecht cup this weekend, so should be very interesting racing.

From the Knecht Cup:

Code: Select all
1   Wisconsin A            6:33.98
2   Bucknell               6:36.91    2.93
3   Princeton A            6:46.10   12.12
4   Georgetown A           6:52.18   18.20
5   Wisconsin B            7:00.97   26.99
6   Buffalo                7:03.88   29.90

I watched this race. That Bucknell light 8+ might've been the sharpest looking crew of the entire regatta. Hats off to them - they're definitely a threat come IRA's.

Agreed. That was a tight, entertaining race. Wisco and Bucknell were level with 500 to go. But Wisco raced in the "heavy" V8 as well. The lightweight final was their 4th 2K of the weekend, and they followed up their win with a 4th place in the V8 grand final. I bet Wisco finds more speed before the IRAs.

I feel WISCO has its rhythm back and is ready to go after a title in Millers last spring there. Radcliffe is rowing really really well under their new coach. I am hoping to get a glace at some video of Bucknell as they can be a solid contender.

Ahh, my bad. I heard on the river bank Charles Miller was leaving. I should have checked it a bit better , my apologies to Miller and the ladies.

Wisconsin over Stanford on Saturday, Stanford over Wisco on Sunday.
This should be an epic matchup in June at the IRA!
