Ursula & Abby lw2x for USA

Next stop, NZ.
I almost always win when all of the guys who are faster than I am don't show up.

Will we see them in luzern? I think that will give a better impression than the first World Cup which is always a bit wacky. The right conditions could see them row a very fast time.

Can we also assume then that we will not see Ursula at the W1x trials races? Assuming there is a trial? Or did the comment "next time" as regards Amsterdam mean she has intentions of looking at the Hwt 1x as well which of course is also an olympic event.

My guess Ursula is about 5' 7" tall.

Well it doesn't look like they entered Lucerne - at least not in the lightweight double.

I don't think she had the funding for Lucerne...also she is 5'6. Interestingly, last year I believe she finished 2nd at the world cup in the LW2X rowing with a woman from Spain. Ursula has talent.

Does anyone know if she has US citizenship yet?

Team Ursula is building; two athletes have left the light women’s quad camp in Oklahoma and are traveling to Camp Ursula to build lightweight quad that should enter trials this September. This will allow Abby and Ursula to double up in the light double and the light quad in NZ if they win trials.

And the advantage of jeopardizing the LW2X Olympic event by prepping in and racing in the lw4x non Olympic event is??????

"I've never been to the World Champs before but I am going to make up for this by doing what no one else does at all. I am going to double up".

Don't believe it. Maybe Ursula is trialing different doubles partners.

If rumor is true , I heard of it earlier , that should be a fast lwt 4x.

The light 2x has accepted and named so there is no switching of partners unless of injury or sickness.

The more boats they can qualify, ultimately the stronger Carlos' claim to be the Oly coach. Good luck to him. If the LW2x is a medal contender in London, he absolutely should be there as their coach.

Maybe the finals are on 2 different days (4x after the 2x), and there will be fewer than 6 entires (4x)...requiring only a "race" for lanes. Maybe they are looking for a boat to train against in the lead up to worlds?? Maybe rowing a 4x makes your catches faster for the 2x?? There are a host of other very good reasons to do this...

"I've never been to the World Champs before but I am going to make up for this by doing what no one else does at all. I am going to double up".

Lets see...the Romanian W2- doubled at Olympics in 2004 (2 golds). Francia/Cafaro doubled last year (2 golds)...I wouldn't call those ladies "no one"

Stewie-maybe you should stop holding Ursula to a different standard just because you do not to like her....I can't figure out why that would be.

Everyone you quote were hugely experienced and proven athletes.

If I don't like her why did I suggest in another thread she should get funding as a priority?

She should focus on one event and if she is truely doing more she is being badly advised.

If come NZ u want to say "you were wrong" then I will take that on the chin.

You examples are also heavyweights not lightweights.
