Re: IRAs 2022
It's crazy how big DiMauro is, he makes the rest of that boat look small. Moves really well for that size and age (he's what? 19 or 20?) Yale obvs has the 3 Olympians so no excuses, but let's not act like there isn't some insane pedigree at Cal too and they had the technique to match. That's the sl...

Re: Access to a 2x in Boston
It looks like you can request a private session with CRI, which I've done. Son doesn't seem to want to bug the coaches this week (Sprints).fullmetal wrote:If NU doesn't have a coach/shell for you, ask the coaches there if they can make inquiries on your behalf with CRI, et al.
Thanks for the replies.

Re: Access to a 2x in Boston
Yeah, it doesn't seem like they have many 2x's. If any. And they're training for Sprints.Rocket-Sauce wrote:Did you try Northeastern?

Access to a 2x in Boston
Hi there. I'm in Boston for my son's graduation from Northeastern (where he rowed) and on our bucket list is rowing together on the Charles. If anyone has any ideas they can share about where to rent/borrow a 2x (does not need to be a fancy racing shell, and may be better if it isn't) for Wednesday ...

HOT: Isaiah Harrison wins junior men's 2k at Ergomania and breaks the WR by 4 seconds in the process. 5:54.1. Listed at 6-9, 225 on his C2 profile. 16 years old.

Re: Henley Royal Regatta
Given the behavior of one of their coaches right before the Northeastern semi, I'm not surprised.fatsculler wrote:One interesting little titbit, Brookes Temple crew were awarded a false start for their semi final, due to “unsportsmanlike conduct” by their supporters as they boated. That was a first for Henley.
Re: Henley
Two eights! A and B in the Temple. I don't think those were NE guys who flipped. At least not ones training for Henley.lt.wolf wrote:NU has a boat going as well, an eight I think. But they had a pair flipped on the Charles this morning
Re: Henley
Northeastern is sending two eights (to the Temple, I believe). Rumors of Harvard, Brown, BU, and Yale sending guys but not sure which events.

Re: A Final statistics... crowd sourcing data
Interested in painting a picture of the HM1V8+ A-Final. Can people provide data points, break down the athlete statistics...? By team, in aggregate? Height, weight, age? International? Erg scores? Intl competition record? Progression intrasquad, ie 1V day 1 as a frosh or developed? Boat progression...

1,000 meters and rate capped at 35. Losing boats all have to swap one rower and go again. Also, no coxswains.

Re: UW Dominates
- Their roster doesn't list Freshmen(Grunties) but I believe their erg averages include them (48 guys tested). Is this a Title 9 thing, and if so, do they count a Frosh if he makes the 1V, 2V, or 3V that races in the Spring? UW never lists its freshman rowers until the weekend of the Class Day rega...

Move over, Clark, here comes Isaiah Harrison
Only found one post on here about this kid, which surprises me. Some highlights: 1. Seems to be from the Coeur d'Alene/Hayden, Idaho, area. 2. Currently holds every single world record in the 13-14 category, which he apparently set last (C2) season. 3. Finished second at Ergomania 2018 (NW Indoor ch...

Re: The 2018 IRA Regatta
There are very specific rules about it. It's something to the effect that if women practice against men, its considered a race. And from what I understand women are only allowed to race a certain amount of times a year. NCAA is very specific about what teams can and cannot do. Practicing against me...
